The radio is gathering signatures until the 24th of October, when signatories will gather and march from a student dormitory to Ljubljana university. The radio was established in 1968 and played a major role in Slovenian media's struggle for independence. Today, Radio Študent employs around 150 people and is one of the largest, non-commercial radio stations in Europe. The radio's campaign is called "Save RŠ" and was kicked off at the beginning of this month. The radio has been hard hit by changes in student work and changes in honorary contracts.
