Members of the Slovenian Police Special Unit, disguised as Fathers Christmas, descended from the roof of the Ljubljana Paediatrics Clinic. After reaching the firm floor, they were joined by some famous Slovenians, among others the musicians Neisha, In & Out, Pižama, Rebeka Dremelj and Ranko Babić. Together they paid a visit to children in separate units, and gave them presents. Every patient got a book.

After the unforgettable success such a descent had last year, the organizers of this bold charity action decided to repeat it. Radio Center, the initiator of the event, wanted to surprise and cheer up the children who must spend these days before holidays in sickbed.

"This action received the full support of the Paediatrics Clinic, and University Medical Centre. We were very happy to surprise the children treated in our hospital in such a pleasant manner. It is a heart-warming experience to see such surprise and joy on small faces," said doctor Anamarija Meglič, deputy director of the Paediatrics Clinic.

We were told that at this time approximatelly 260 children are hospitalized in different units of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, most of them, approximately 140, at the Paediatrics Clinic, approximately 40 at the Department for Infectious Diseases, approximately 30 at the Department of Paediatric Surgery and Intensive Care, approximately 15 at both Department of Dermatovenerology and Department of Otorhinolaryngology, and 10 at both Department of Ophthalmology and Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
