As reported by TV Slovenija, the refugees immediately applied for asylum. Presently their identity is being verified by police. It is the first attempt by refugees to cross the green border on the Slovenian coast.
Policemen from Krško apprehended a 36-year-old national of the Netherlands trying to smuggle five refugees originally from Syria and Afghanistan into Slovenia, while at the Pomurje highway a Pakistani driver with a settled status in Italy illegally transporting four foreign citizens from Pakistan was stopped by the Police.
