The government is to set up a task force to estimate the country's handling of the recent ice storm.
The force will assess whether to make legislative changes aimed to speed up the clean-up efforts. The task force will also analyse what has been done so far. The situation in many hit areas around the country, is improving, but the damage has not been estimated yet. Slovenia plans to request aid from the EU solidarity fund.
According to the government, we can expect aid from the EU following a devastating ice storm last week. These are only a few highlights from today’s emergency meeting, called by PM Alenka Bratušek.
