The evaluation confirms the findings of tourist workers, which say, that tourists discover the Slovenian capital. More than 954 thousand visitors spend at least one night in Ljubljana in 2013 - that’s 11 per cent more than in 2012. Although sceptics will say that this is the consequence of the Eurobasket tournament, or the warm weather during the Christmas holidays, numbers prove, that on the 5th of December Ljubljana marked 5 and a half per cent more overnight stays than in the previous year. The majority of the guests come from Italy, apparently due to the successful advertising campaign to celebrate Christmas holidays.
