The government is currently in talks with farmers, who are opposed to the tax. Pensioners have also opposed the changes. There are still many questions about the changes in the real estate tax – including what effect it will have on the most vulnerable sections of society as well as the effect it will have on the already weak real estate market in Slovenia.
