Several roads in Slovenia were covered in black ice this morning.

Yesterday, several thousand households in the Notranjska and Dolenjska regions were without electricity. According to meteorogists, yesterday was the snowiest day of this year's winter. Most of the snow fell in the north of the country, between 25 and 30cm, while the newly fallen snow blanket reached up to 0,5m in the mountains. The environmental agency of Slovenia this morning warned of a danger of landslides in the Alps.

Skies will be clear today with some changeable cloudiness. Mostly cloudy weather with some short local showers is forecast for the west of the country though. We can expect an additional 10cm of snow this weekend. According to weather forecasts, it is likely to start falling again tomorrow before noon.
