It’s expected to bring in an additional 400 million euros to the state budget. However, the real estate tax will be assessed by Constitutional Court judges, after the opposition SDS party filed a petition demanding it be reviewed. Opponents say it violates the principle of equality and justice.

The government has also announced this year that it will continue its fight against the grey economy. That’s expected to bring in another 80 million euros.
