According to unofficial information reported in the newspaper Finance, the lawsuit is centered around the two months during which the bank was led by Draško Veselinovič. NLB says the bank suffered damages after approving two investments made by the credit committee.

NLB has required taxpayer bail outs in the past and Slovenian media have criticized the lawsuit as being a "drop in a bucket" for the bank.
