In 1911 in Belgrade during a demonstration flight Slovene aviation pioneer Edvard Rusjan is killed in a plane crash. He first flew in 1909. Together with aviation enthusiasts he made several EDA monoplanes and biplanes.
In 1913 Richard Nixon is born. He became the first president in American history to be forced to step down in the wake of the Watergate Affair in 1974.
In 1942 during the II World War on the territory of Slovenia the important Dražgoška battle begins, and lasted three days.
