On Saturday just before 18.00 hours on the A1 southern Ljubljana bypass near Rudnik, there was a traffic accident in which a 48 year old pedestrian died.

The 48-year-old from Ljubljana crossed the carriageway at the same moment as a car, which was being driven by a 31 year old man correctly on the left hand lane towards the Rudnik exit. The left front of the vehicle hit the pedestrian, who due to serious injuries died at the site of the accident, according to the website of the General Police Directorate. Due to the accident this section of the bypass was closed for a long time.
