OCS has remained loyal to the clothing manufacturer who clothed the best Slovenian athletes also for the London 2012 Summer Olympics. The Olympic collection was made by the Chinese fashion company Peak and designed by the Slovene architect Sandi Murovec, who is more known as a demonstrator in skiing.

Youthful and energetic
The collection is a clear interweaving of Slovenian sports colours (green, blue and white), among which the symbol of Triglav appears as the central graphic motif.

While producing designs, OCS has followed the guidelines for a youthful, energetic, simple and noticeable collection. “This collection is a follow-up of the London 2012 Olympics collection. It incorporates fresh and vivid colours, i.e. green, blue and white, and various combinations of the symbol of Triglav. In addition to design, a great emphasis has been placed to materials of good quality and to providing comfort, which will contribute to the well-being of the Slovene Olympics squad,” OCS reported.

Colours unified at last?
Murovec added that they have made a right decision by defining the colour spectrum for the Slovene athletes. “We’ve set up a new colour scheme, which in future shall be visually the strongest means of identification of the Slovene squad. This approach has proved to be the best, and in less than a year practically all Slovene athletes will be wearing these colours. This is why we’ve applied the same colours also to the Sochi 2014 Olympic collection, and introduced a few new graphic elements. One of the elements which without doubt stands out in the colours is the symbol of Triglav. It’s difficult for me to evaluate the collection; in fact, it wouldn’t be correct to do so. However, in my opinion our athletes will be most recognisable and absolutely trendy.”

The hockey squad’s strips and a few other strips have not been presented, since according to OCS this “falls within the ambit of national sports associations,” OCS commented for MMC.

Several varieties
At the 2014 Sochi Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, as well as at medal ceremonies, the Slovene Olympics squad will be wearing sports clothes. OCS has also presented winter outfit, casual and sports clothing, and pieces of clothing for supporters of the Olympic athletes, like caps, headbands, scarves and hand gloves, which you can already buy in some shops.
