Pipistrel director and owner Ivo Boscarol and the representatives of the Indian Army in New Delhi signed the contract for delivery of 194 aircrafts Virus SW 80 Garud, chosen as technically the most suitable model.
Pipistrel will start to deliver aircrafts in eight months. They will be delivered to more than 100 locations all over India, and the entire quantity of 194 aircrafts must be delivered 30 months from the day of the first delivery. The contract includes an option for an additional 100 aircrafts within the third year should the buyer request them, which means that Pipistrel will most likely deliver almost 300 planes.

Pipistrel is obliged to assure the necessary spare parts and technical support for the period of 10 years, and provide spare engines, tools for technical support, and train a large number of personnel for maintenance and the crew.
