By the end of the year around 70 workers will have a full employment and around 200 people will get a job for a limited time. Slovenian experts will be working on Twingo’s new design with about 30 percent of the car’s components manufactured in Slovenia.
The new line is part of an investment project entitled Edison. It also plans to manufacture Daimler Smart cars. The project is worth around EUR 450 million. Slovenia envisaged a total of EUR 22.5 million of subsidies for its part of the deal. The opening of the production line will be attended by the PM and by the CEO of Renault, Carlos Ghosn.
