The mayor, Andrej Fištravec, thus was unable to sign the deal. The restaurant was supposed to prepare traditional Roma dishes, and was to be run by Roma cooks and waiters. The project was 85 percent funded by the European Union , with the remaining 15 per cent coming from the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs. The total investment was around 300,000 euros.
