The SDS parliament member group is namely sure, that this tax "in no way benefits Slovenia" and is, according to them, unjust, unfair and will burden especially those, who have long been on the verge of being socially endangered since they will have a hard time paying, what is in their words a "substantially raised" tax.

The SDS parliament members yesterday voted against the law, after they stonewalled the first vote in the mid-November marathon budget session. On the second vote, 49 parliament members voted for and 30 against the law. Citizens contributed more than 75.000 signatures to the petition against the tax.
