Lottery Slovenia has paid out the jackpot for the EuroJackpot that was won last December. A winner in the town of Grosuplje took home 17 million euros.

The payout was more than 21 million euros, but 15% of the winnings are deducted and given to the municipality of the winner. The winner was immediately propelled onto the list of richest Slovenes.

EuroJackpot is an international game that is jointly organized by 14 European countries. The biggest jackpot was worth 46 million euros and was paid in April 2013 in Germany. This year's Slovenian win was the sixth highest in the history of the game.
