The Slovenian men's national ice hockey team’s hero of the day Jan Urbas scored two goals, with the second one in the 49th minute. The second hero was Luka Gračnar who at 1:1 defended several scores coming from Austria.

The final, 12th point was won by young Miha Štebih, who added the third goal with one minute remaining.

In 2015, the Slovenian team, also known as The Lynxes (Slovene: Risi), will play World Division I Championships in Prague and Ostrava. Austria will also be there. This is the 8th victory for Slovenia, among the top 16 teams in the world. In this year's Sochi Olympics, Slovenia won 7th place beating Austria.
