Slovenia failed to qualify for the World Cup this year in Brazil but has scheduled a number of friendly matches in the interim period.

The team was lead by trainer Srečko Katanec, who admitted it was a poor performance. "It was a bad match," he said. "That's how it is. It's true that we have a number of injured players. But we lacked playing depth today." The national team will next take on teams in South America, including Argentina, in friendly matches.
