Its management explained, that the cause of the recent damage to fuel rods has been detected, and that nuclear power plants in other countries face similar damages and take similar measures to fix their problems.

As a short-term measure, the Krško nuclear power plant is set to substitute empty steel rods without fuel. According to the management, the problem would be completely fixed during the next maintenance outage scheduled for 2015.
