The Slovenian Olympic Committee organized a fashion show in one of Ljubljana’s hotels to present the new outfits that Slovenia’s athletes will wear at the summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The pulse of Brazil could be felt already at the very entrance of the venue. Brazilian dancers welcomed guests in seductive carnival costumes. Among the guests was also the president of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, who drew most of the attention.

Visitors were most interested to see what the new Olympic outfits for Rio 2016 will look like – they were designed a year and a half ago. The collection is divided into three sets of clothing: the national set of clothing, clothing to be worn in free time, and formal attire. There is a total of 27 pieces of clothing in green, blue and white colours, which are well distinguishable and already established colours for Slovenian sports. The basic motif of the Olympic uniforms is Mt. Triglav.

For a third time in a row (after London and Sochi) the Olympic collection of clothing was designed by Sandi Murovec. This is what he said about the collection: "Regarding the fact that this is my fourth Olympic collection, my guidelines were similar. My basic starting points were: recognizability, difference, youth, boldness, quality and functionality. Of course I got not leave out the thread which I think is most important – the colour identity, with which every athlete and fan can proudly identify with."
