The recent bank recapitalisation has put the country in the position of having to find investors in the US and UK again. Following the example of borrowing from 2012 and 2013, three foreign investment banks will organize meetings of representatives of the Ministry of Finance with foreign investors. Slovenia plans to borrow more than EUR 3bn. The yield on Slovenian 10-year bonds has dropped since the recapitalisation of three state-owned banks. The drop provides a basis for slightly cheaper long-term borrowing at a 4.5% interest rate.
