The story of the creation of the submarine is even more interesting than its enviable technical characteristics. This technologically extremely advanced submarine was designed and built by students in a classroom, tutored by their physics teacher Rok Capuder.

It took three years to design and construct it, and it is equipped with the state of the art technology. Its special shape reminds of the shape of a manta ray for improved hydrodynamics. It can reach the depth of one kilometre, which will allow research of 90% of the Adriatic sea, and gathering of all the sea data.

During these years a number of generations of students participated; the fact that approximately 80 thousand lines of programme codes speaks for itself. Each of the students was assigned a special task.

The plan the students have for future is to rent out the submarine to institutes researching the sea. They are already considering new challenges.
