Speaking at the regular daily press conference on migration through Slovenia, Šefic reported 50,410 migrants had entered into Slovenia from Croatia by Friday. He added that “the situation was similar to yesterday’s [Thursday’s], although fewer people entered Slovenia when compared to the day before. The most problematic entry point is still Rigonce”. The night from Thursday to Friday saw the continuation of unannounced arrivals, similar to previous nights. "We also had a critical case of a pregnant woman, who crossed the border while almost in labour already. All turned well, fortunately – the woman gave birth at Ptuj Hospital."

The interior secretary of state described the fieldwork situation as extremely difficult, adding however that “with great efforts of everyone in the filed it is still under control”. Šefic emphasized that Slovenia was trying to reach an operative agreement with Croatia regarding entry point, which would make the task much easier”. He also announced help to the municipality of Zavrč, which had unexpectedly become a point of entry, too.
