Štefanec recently spoke out against Bratušek, a European Commission candidate, for not immediately accepting a letter from his office. Bratušek waited for the maximum amount of time (two weeks) before being served papers from the office. She now has seven working days to deliver a response, although she can also ask for an extension.

This means that the office's confidential report will not come to light before her hearing at the European Parliament on Monday.
