The protection for a Slovenian patent is 20 years

Slovenes are inventive. When it comes to patents granted per capita, Slovenia is in second place in the world. Luxembourg is first. Even when looking at the totals, Slovenia is ranked at a respectable 14th in the world. That’s according to the World Intellectual Property Organization. Interestingly, patents can be filed in various languages, including Slovenian, English, French or German. The protection for a Slovenian patent is 20 years.
