The 34-year-old Kranjec was already in the lead after the first series of jumps landing at 224,5 meters. At that point Norway's Johann Andre Forfangom (223,5 m) and Kenneth Gangnes (221,0 m) were in second and third. Due to strong winds Prevc had to wait for his jump and after a rough flight landed at 218 meters, which was enough for 6th place.

Prevc flew 242 meters, not enough to beat Kranjec
