Toni Gašperič, writer, poet, comedian, educator and lyricist has won this year's Fran Milčinski - Ježek prize.

The jury said that he has been an indispensable part of both television and radio programs. In their explanation the jury noted that "generations of school children have grown with his ideas, which resonate with them. As a trained educator he is able to listen to children and offer them a 'different school', happy, smiling and exciting. Yet even as adult, his works can be enjoyed as original and insightful humor and satire." Gašperič has work as a humorist and host for nearly four decades.
