One of the newly arrived is the 2.08m forward-center Alex Stepheson. After playing high school basketball at Harvard-Westlake School in North Hollywood, California, Stepheson originally played college basketball at the University of North Carolina with the North Carolina Tar Heels, including former Olimpija players Deon Thompson and Danny Green.

The same as Aron Baynes, after leaving Olimpija last year, Green is currently playing for the Sant Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). That is said to be one of the reasons for Stephenson's coming to Ljubljana.
