Meanwhile, unofficial results showed, that the party has failed to make it after 24 years in parliament. With around 99.97 of the ballots counted, the People's party has 3,98% of the vote (34.286 votes). The votes from abroad will be arriving by mail until July 19.

The National Electoral Commission has sent 71.549 of sets of electoral material for expatriates. In 2011, 260 votes from Slovenian citizens living abroad went to the Slovenian People's Party.
