Residents of the place have different opinions on the issue. This is why they plan to carry out a consultative referendum in May alongside the European elections. One wind turbine is standing in the municipality of Divača.However several companies want to put up as many as 50 turbines in the near future. Some residents believe this would degrade the beautiful Karst landscape. Officials will have to decide in the end on what to do as they will also prepare a National Spatial Plan to tackle such problems.
