The female lynx which spent 33 days in freedom after escaping from the Ljubljana Zoo has serious health problems.

Outside the ZOO she lost half her teeth. Later while being captured animal workers had to shoot her with a tranquilizer gun, fracturing her thighbone.

A complicated surgery was performed on the lynx late last night. Her life was on the line in the reawakening stage, but ZOO officials say her condition is now stable. The lynx is looking at months of rehabilitation.
