After six years, American indie-folk band Fleet Foxes have released the sequel to their successful album Helplessness Blues, called Crack-Up. After a number of solo and side projects of all the members, Fleet Foxes went for the subject of side effects of success. The record delivers soaring orchestration, but rather than sticking to one tone, it dissolves into contemplation, melancholy, chaos and resolution. With the album’s lead single, Third of May, Fleet Foxes open themselves up to an expanding world without losing themselves in the process.
