It is the main event of the Slovenian EU presidency.

Leaders have expressed support for countries in the western Balkans joining the EU. However, no progress has been made for Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo.

Meanwhile, PM Janez Janša disagreed with the claim that Slovenia was setting a poor example to EU candidates by suspending the funding of the Slovenian Press Agency and not respecting media freedom, at a news conference.

There are still restrictions on movement today in Ljubljana, Bled and Brdo pri Kranju.
