This year's Sovre Prize for the best literary translation was awarded to Jernej Županič yesterday for his translation of Moby-Dick.
The book by Herman Melville is considered an American classic.
He said the seafaring vocabulary has given him the most trouble.
It took him a year of hard work to translate the book, he added.
