The PM of North Macedonia is on an official visit to Slovenia today. Together with his host, Slovenian PM Robert Golob, the two signed a declaration on boosting bilateral cooperation. Slovenia is currently among the top five investors in the country.
PM Golob also assured his counterpart that Slovenia strongly supports North Macedonia on its path to the EU, stressing that its accession talks must not be suspended. North Macedonia has been an EU candidate country since 2005, but its accession talks have long been delayed, first because of Greece and now because of Bulgaria.
Later, Macedonia’s PM also held talks with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar and Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon.
