Today we celebrate Slovenia’s Constitution Day. On this day 27 years ago, the Slovenian Assembly proclaimed the Slovenian constitution, with which Slovenia formally split from Yugoslavia. The draft of the constitution was prepared by a group of specialists led by lawyer Peter Jambrek at Podvin Castle near Radovljica.

The Constitutional court marked Constitution day on Thursday with a ceremonial session, with addresses by the president of the court Rajko Knez and honorable law professor Janez Kranjc.
