Slovenia marks Culture Day today, celebrating art and culture.

This bank holiday is aimed at remembering the country's mst prominent poet France Prešeren.

This year's pre-recorded ceremony took place remotely last night.

At the ceremony, multiple awards including the Prešeren Prize were handed out.

The Prešeren awards, which is a lifetime achievement award, went to writer Feri Lainšček and architect Marko Mušič.

This year, the holiday's motto ''Summons Hope!" is to inspire people with hope from Prešeren's most known poem Zdavljica (Toast).
