Slovenian climber Janja Garnbret narrowly missed out on gold at the World Climbing Championships in Innsbruck today.

Both Garnbret and Austria's Jessica Pilz reached the top of the climb but the Austrian completed the course 11 seconds ahead of the Slovenian.

Garnbret won gold at the same championships last year and said that she wasn't disappointed with the result.

Also in sport, but of a different kind, Slovenian ski jumper Ema Klinec has won the summer ski jumping tournament in Chaikovsky, Russia.

Klinec jumped 133m to beat Norway's Maren Lundby and Japan's Sara Takanashi.

It's the second victory of her career and pushes her up to second in the overall standings.

The next and final competition takes place in Klingenthal, Germany on the 3rd of October.
