This time we travel to Lendava to meet a young lady from Sudan by the name of Noon Gigir. Married to a Slovene, Noon says she has been well accepted by the community. But she isn't only enjoying the benefits of living in Slovenia. Noon is also giving something back to the community and has opened an NGO called "Integrated Vision" dealing with human rights and empowering migrant women in the region. We spent a sunny Friday in Ljubljana with Lior, an Israeli, who has been living in Slovenia for around 6 years now. Lior's the man behind the Odprta Kuhna event - introducing foreign culinary to Slovenians, and offering Slovenia's best to foreign visitors. Walking between all the food stands and tasty smells and sounds Lior says he's happy in Ljubljana, and sees no reason not to continue living here.
This week we meet Perola Regina. Originally from Brazil, she has lived here for 4 years now, has two children, and tries to make a living as a clown! Yes, a clown! And while clowns are so common in Brazil, that when you shake trees they fall of them, in Slovenia that's certainly not the case. Perola wants to change all that, and bring clowns closer to Slovenians.
