One day two Canadians decided to spend a year in Europe. They narrowed down their choice to five countries, and the lucky winner turned out to be Slovenia. We met up with Trixie, the female half of this Canadian couple, on a misty morning in Ljubljana to tell us more about her decision and experience so far. Trixie works in the film industry as a screenwriter. Moving into a new culture and relying on freelance work is a challenge, but Trixie says that the welcoming Slovenes, her room with a castle view, charming cafes, hiking possibilities and the Olimpija women's rugby team, do make her feel good in Slovenia :) So good, that they're even considering prolonging that one year… Trixie's music choice: Lxola - "Follow".
