The list consists of 66 quotas or candidates (64 individual athletes + two teams, in ski jumping and cross-country skiing). Ice hockey players represent a lion's share on the Slovenian list, with 25 spots reserved for them. They've qualified for the Olympics for the first time. Ski jumpers and snowboarders each have 11 quotas, and alpine skiers 9.

The remaining quotas are smaller. The biathlon team has three quotas, cross-country skiers, athletes in Nordic combined and freestyle skiers each have two, and luge one.

The official list was determined in April and will be updated in November. It is due to be finalized on 21 January, a day before the official presentation of the Slovenian Olympic team. The event, which is to take place at the Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana, will be broadcast live on the MMC portal. A month earlier, the Slovenian Olympic Committee is going to present the 2014 Sochi collection of clothes.

The 2014 Winter Olympic Games will take place from 7 to 23 February. From morning til late in the evening, the event will be covered live by TV SLO 2, Val 202 and MMC.
