The smart bike bag called Ziggie Bag is sewn together from old bicycle inner tubes and is hand tailoured in a Domžale workshop. While riding a bike the bag enables you to charge a phone and has integrated LED lights in the front.

"The market is in serious lack of products made from recycled material. We wanted to show the public that it is possible to make useable bicycle bags, which are elegant and stylistic, from practically "trash"," says Žiga Bauer, the man behind the idea who heads the Domžale-Ljubljana team working on the recycled bicycle bags project.

Mr. Bauer rejects remarks that the bags are 'unusable and hipster'. He says the team did not focus on only one target group, but on all those who like to cycle, value recycling and protecting the environment, "and especially handmade quality products made in Slovenia". Among the key advantages of the Ziggie Bag, which can be mounted on the bike's handlebar, Bauer stresses its versatility.

Removable multifunctional bags
Apart from the fact that it can be easily taken down it is also rainproof and has a phone holder (fixed with rubber straps). The phone, just like other electronic devices, can be charged only while riding. The bag includes a battery which is also the energy source for the LED lights. The push of a button regulates the light's three levels of brightness. The battery itself (5.000 mAh) also has a USB port for charging with a cord which can be connected to an electric socket or computer.
