, also called the Feast of the Sacrifice, which is a four-day feast of sacrifice.

It is connected hajj, the traditional annual pilgrimage to Mecca, which is attended by a multitude of believers from all over the world.
In Slovenia, the central prayer was held in the sports hall in Kodeljevo in Ljubljana. Other cities in which prayers were also held include Kranj, Tržič, Jesenice, in Škofja Loka, Postojna, Ajdovščina, Koper, Kočevje, Trbovlje, Celje, Velenje, Maribor, Sežana, Izola, Nova Gorica, Krško in Novo mesto.

Eid al-Adha is a family holiday. A multitude of believers from around the world, including 23 from Slovenia, this week gathered on a pilgrimage to Mecca, which is one of the five practical duties of Islam.
