Poverty is deepening there and this also reflects in the city´s image. But to reverse this trend and in particular to overcome discouragement, some volunteers have just ended one of the campaigns in which they helped 100 families of Jesenice.
They distributed 2 tons of food among the people in need. The volunteers were also joined by many donors and volunteers. According to the association Up Fail the initiative was a major success.
Also another group was founded on Facebook by Ahmed Pašič to help raise the self-confidence of the socially threatened families and people. It now has more than 1800 members.
