According to the Maribor police at around three o'clock in the morning, a dispute broke out between two groups. One group withdrew and then returned at about half-past five in front of the pub, where the dispute reignited and ended in a mass brawl.

Several people were examined at Maribor's hospital; two of the brawlers were admitted for treatment. Police are now collecting information on crimes of violence, minor injuries and use of dangerous tools that took place during the fight or dispute.
