Pahor received Nishani on Congress Square in Ljubljana. The Albanian president is being accompanied by a small business delegation. Eight Albanian firms are looking for ways to collaborate and do business with Slovenia in such varied fields as construction, multimedia, and tourism.

Trade between the two countries is modest. Slovenia exported around 35 million euros in goods to the country last year, and imported about 650,000 euros in goods from the country. Slovenia primarily exports pharmaceutical products and animals to Albania.
