The supporters’ rally then continued in the Miklošič Park with a cultural and music programme. Actor Andrej Rozman argued that “we need more Jesuses with hearts and fewer of those crucified on crosses”, and musicians Demolitions Group sang “death to fascism”. The Anticapitalist Front blames “the elites of imperialist forces” for the current refugee crisis.

As part of the festival, a series of lectures had begun on Wednesday. The festival ends on Saturday when the European caravan for open border will set off to Croatia.

Rally for the protection of borders
At 6.30 pm the participants of the rally ‘Slovenia protect the borders’ gathered on the Republic Square, chanting “Slovenia” and “We, Slovenians” on the walk towards the seat of the Slovenian government. Their message to the government was that borders need to be protect – also with the help of the army –, that the support of mass migrations signifies the support of exploiting cheap work force as well as human trafficking, crime and ghettoization. The participants also demanded from the government to ensure meals for the police force (who complained about poor supply) and “not for terrorists”.
