Several politicians and President Borut Pahor attended the ceremony. The keynote speaker was Dr. Anton Vratuša. In his speech he called for unity and stressed that this ceremony helps to remember the victims and the crimes of the occupier. He said on this occasion "It can be forgiven but cannot and must not be forgotten, so that something like that never happens again."

Due to bad weather and rain today's ceremony attracted less people than last year.
