However the decision is not yet final. It’s expected to be confirmed on December 15th.

At the same time due to financial constraints many countries have decided to pull out of the competition. Serbia and Bulgaria were the latest to do so. Croatia, Cyprus, Andorra, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Monaco, Slovakia and Turkey will also not take part in next year’s Eurovision song contest. Apart from Slovenia, Romania and Greece also submitted their entries a day before the deadline.

Last year it was Hannah Mancini, a US singer living in Slovenia that represented Slovenia at the contest. Denmark's Emmelie de Forest won the competition. Next year it will be held in Denmark.
